Delivering Compelling Devices

Today’s market has fundamentally changed, and it is no longer enough to just deliver a good device on time. In today’s economy you, the embedded developer, have to deliver great devices that clearly stand out from the competition and compel a purchase. For consumers, this means delivering devices that provide rich browsing, the connectivity to a broader digital lifestyle and dynamic, immersive a user experience. For the enterprise, this means delivering devices that seamlessly connect to, and can be managed by, corporate IT’s trusted network of servers and directory infrastructure. In addition, it requires enabling corporate developers to easily extend their line of business applications to encompass your devices. We invite you to join Kevin Dallas, Microsoft General Manager for Windows Embedded, as he details how the Windows Embedded Software + Services Platform enables you to deliver the unique value of Windows on your devices to consumers and businesses. In addition, Mr. Dallas will be launching new embedded technologies that deliver the power of Windows 7 to embedded devices, as well as detailing the release schedule of the Windows Embedded technologies that will be key for you plan your device roadmap. As a special bonus, all keynote attendees will receive a complimentary preview of Windows Embedded Standard 2011, featuring Windows 7 technologies.

Kevin Dallas is responsible for the product planning and management of all of the Windows Embedded product lines.

Kevin has held a number of different positions since joining Microsoft in May 1995 including Senior Director of Strategic Alliances, Director Product Management Group for Windows Mobile Devices, Group Product Manager for Windows CE and Group Product Manager for Windows. Memory Matters: Taking Time and Complexity Out of the Embedded Design Cycle

As the embedded market continues to evolve, designs are requiring increased performance while at the same time lower system power. With design complexity increasing, the most advanced technology, tools and design techniques are necessary. A small design consideration, making smart choices on memory design can have a big impact on time to market and can help designers meet the increasing demand to deliver new, innovative devices more quickly and efficiently. We invite you to join Glen Hawk, Vice President and General Manager of Numonyx’s Embedded Business Group for a panel discussion on how you can leverage memory solutions to solve critical design problems that impact embedded markets. During the discussion, you will hear from key industry players about how they are using memory to solve their design problems, as well as how the continued commitment of Numonyx to develop and deliver faster, smarter and more innovative memory technologies is helping companies gain leadership by reducing complexity and enabling faster time to market.
