Meet the Experts

Meet the Experts Live in the ESC Theater! Submit your questions now for each expert panel to esc@ubm.com.

Meet the Experts Panels will be updated frequently, so check back for updates!

Software Expert Panel

Tuesday, September 21
Meet the Software Experts: Debugging Mixed Multi-Core Code
Panelists: Coming Soon!
Times: 12:00pm — 12:50pm
Room: ESC Theater (on the ESC Expo Floor)
Preview: The panel of experts will take your questions on how to detect and identify bugs in multi-core systems, where the error may be in any of several different kinds of processors, or in the interactions between them, and you can’t just single-step through one code set independent of the others. Our experts will answer your problems with their ideas on tools and techniques.

Hardware Expert Panel

Wednesday, September 22
Meet the Hardware Experts: Estimating and Measuring Power in Embedded Systems
Panelists: Coming Soon!
Times: 1:00pm — 1:50pm
Room: ESC Theater (on the ESC Expo Floor)
Preview: With systems composed of different kinds of processors with various low-power modes, perhaps with FPGAs, and with software from a variety of sources, estimating energy consumption has become a major problem. Measuring it in the prototype has become nearly as difficult—or maybe even more difficult. Our experts take your questions on how to make useful estimates and how to confirm what is actually going on in your power rails.
